The main objective of the proposal of the PROFORM project is to develop a new engineering and manufacturing concept based on a built-to-order system for reducing lead time and costs in producing high technology transport components for chassis and vehicle bodies.
The structuring of the work follows a technical module-based approach in order to share and allocate the work packages more efficiently allowing and thus facilitating a better control and coordination.
The PROFORM project is divided into several different Work Packages which can be summed up in four large steps. The two main steps include the research and innovation activities (four work packages), the third one is composed of the demonstration activities and the last one gathers all the other activities (three work packages) (exploitation, dissemination, training and management activities).
